Sarah Dove, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders across the lifespan. She has a particular interest and background in providing evidence-based treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic, phobias, and social anxiety. With an appreciation for the complexity and needs of each individual, Dr. Dove aims to foster a genuine, trust-based relationship as the cornerstone for therapeutic growth. Dr. Dove uses a predominantly cognitive-behavioral approach including the integration of mindfulness and other dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills as appropriate. She also provides longer-term therapy for individuals who are interested in more explorative work.
Dr. Dove has worked with the Metropolitan Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy since 2004. She received her B.A. from Columbia University, her M.A. in applied educational psychology (reading specialist program) from Columbia University Teachers College, and her Ph.D. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has provided psychotherapy and conducted psychological assessments in several inpatient and outpatient settings, including Four Winds Hospital and Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center.
