Lizzie Adler, LMSW, is a licensed therapist at Metropolitan Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Lizzie takes a client-centered and strengths-based approach to treating anxiety across the lifespan. She aims to provide a caring, warm, and empathetic environment that allows clients space for self-exploration and growth. Ms. Adler is passionate about working with individuals to overcome the challenges they are facing. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes evidence-based practices, including Cognitive-Behavioral and psychodynamic work.
Ms. Adler received her MSW from New York University and her BA in Psychology from Duke University. Ms. Adler has a background in research. She worked at Weill Cornell’s Program for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress. In addition, she assisted in developing a diagnostic manual for children being screened for autism. She also has experience as a school counselor, working with both neurotypical and neurodivergent adolescents. She has experience delivering a wide range of treatments for mental health disorders across the lifespan. Ms. Adler deeply enjoys connecting with her clients and helping them navigate and cope with difficult experiences in order to enhance their overall well-being.
